Volunteer Design Team & Crew:
The visual world of UNWANTED: An Untold Story is shaped by artists, designers, researchers, and creative collaborators who help transform historical research into a living production.

Associate Director:
We need someone who is organized, dependable, and comfortable working closely with both cast and crew.
This person should be able to help keep production on track, communicate clearly, spot what needs attention, and help create a positive atmosphere on set.
We’re looking for someone who respects the creative process, can step up when needed, and knows how to support the director’s vision without overshadowing it.
Visual Story Artist:
We’re looking for a visual thinker who can take ideas from the page and help turn them into something we can see and plan.This person should be interested in storyboarding, composition, shot planning, visual references, and cinematic storytelling.
Strong drawing skills are welcome, but understanding story, mood, movement, and framing is just as important.
We want someone who enjoys collaborating and developing ideas alongside the director.
Camera & Lighting Assistant:
We’re looking for someone interested in cinematography who is comfortable learning and working hands-on with cameras, lighting, and production equipment.
This person should be dependable, attentive, patient, and willing to help with camera setup, lighting adjustments, equipment movement, and other technical needs during production.
Experience is helpful, but we also value someone who wants to learn, follows direction well, and takes the technical side of filmmaking seriously.

Production Design Lead:
We’re looking for someone with a strong eye for detail who enjoys building the physical world of a story.
This person should be interested in sets, props, wardrobe, period details, and visual continuity.
They should be resourceful, organized, creative, and able to notice the small details that can make or break the believability of a scene.
Because our projects may involve historical settings, we especially value someone who enjoys research and finding creative ways to make limited resources work on screen.

Sound & Media Lead:
We’re looking for someone who understands that good sound and organized media are essential to a production.
This person should be attentive, technically minded, dependable, and comfortable monitoring dialogue and environmental sound while tracking takes and recorded material.
Experience with production audio is helpful, but organization, consistency, and a willingness to learn are equally important.
We want someone who can help make sure what we capture on set is usable, clearly documented, and ready for the editing process.
